Brittany Ott, LMSW
My primary emphasis in psychotherapy is on affirmation and cultural responsiveness; always through the lens of systems theory which I’ve held onto from my background in social work. My years working in refugee resettlement and residential treatment centers, showed me the unimaginable strengths possessed by all humans, no matter the age or situation. At times, this strength is difficult to access alone. I strive, using various techniques, to help others find their strength in the hope that it will carry forward in that person and on to others. My approach is challenging yet supportive and direct yet affirming. I believe authenticity is key in the therapeutic relationship, as I understand that trust is something to be earned.
Brittany is currently under the direction and supervision of Jessica Hallam Anderson, MS, LPC, CPCS, RPT-S. She is trained in DBT and play therapy techniques and offers individual therapy as well as DBT skills groups. She works with children, teens, and adults with ADHD, anxiety, depression, emotion regulation difficulties, and more.
