Jade Johnson, Counseling Intern
I am a current student at Mercer University in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program which is preparing me to properly and effectively counsel those who struggle with anything from depression and anxiety to family issues. I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science from Kennesaw State University in Psychology.
I am concurrently taking classes while participating in practicum at this facility under the supervision and direction of Mercer University faculty, Dr. Margaret Williams EdD, LPC, CPCS, MA, as well as Counseling Plus More’s very own Katie Landers, LPC, ATR. In the past, I have interned with a school for kids with neurodevelopmental disabilities giving me a broad spectrum of what therapy looks like for different populations.
I am a very caring and warm person. I pride myself on my empathetic nature, as well as being unconditionally understanding. During my journey here, I hope to develop my very own therapist style and build up my confidence in my abilities, while also absorbing as much information as I can to be successful in helping others in their daily struggles.
