Licensed Professional Counselor/Registered Play Therapist
For the past 12 years I have been a school counselor and am highly qualified to help children grades K-12. Anxiety, depression, peer relationships, coping skills, grief, divorce, anger, study skills, and changing families are many of the issues I have experience working with students, parents, and teachers to help achieve goals to succeed. I use many play therapy techniques in my work with children. I also work with adults and families. I have taken many courses to help adults/families with issues such as divorce, communication skills, and crisis situations as well as anxiety, depression, and life transitions.
I have an Eclectic approach to therapy and often utilize Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Adlerian Therapy and Mindfulness in my work. I also have a therapy dog named Murphy who joins me for some sessions.
I offer evening and weekend hours and accept BCBS.
